today’s sign that the acopalypse is near
September.6.07we were having a discussion over in cubicle-ville yesterday about nfl films. i love them, one of the younger guys i work with doesn’t. i was doing my best steve sabol impersonation and raving about autumn thunder, the 10 disc nfl films soundtrack box set. here’s how the end of the conversation went:
me: i can’t believe you don’t like nfl films!! what self respecting sports fan doesn’t like nfl films?!?!?! (followed with random & terrible steve sabol impersonation)
him: nope. don’t like ‘em. think they’re dumb, frankly.
me: sheesh, next thing i know you’re going to tell me you don’t like the clash.
him: i don’t even know who the clash is.
me: i can’t talk to you anymore.
it’s no wonder the country’s on the downward slide. no one remembers the only band that matters.
well, i hate to break it to you, but i also do not like nfl films. i also do not feel that it has anything to do with an impending apocalypse.
i do, however, know who the clash is. not sure how you could miss them, but… people never fail to surprise. he probably wouldn’t “get them” anyway.
well, the nfl films thing doesn’t make me fear for impending doom. the clash thing does. i mean, who doesn’t know the clash?
