pardon me while i stretch my legs a bit

well kids, the day has finally come when i’ve decided to pick up and move on…or is it move in? either way, i’ve moved the ol’ blog to a new address and new service. so far i’m pretty excited about wordpress and its user friendliness (and customizableness. yes, it’s a word.)

i’m not gonna promise that the posts are going to increase in frequency all that much. i’m not gonna say that i consider myself a blogger now. i’m still just a musician with a viewpoint and with stuff to promote and this little site o’mine is just another tool for me to get some things off my chest, get some merch off my shelves or get some butts in the seat.

so…let’s begin with a couple of announcements:

-november 6. mark it down. belcourt theatre, 7.30pm. my film debut!!! my new song, “every street” will be featured in matt riddlehoover’s debut feature, to a tee. it’s free and i’d love to help matt pack the place out before he starts shipping the movie off to festivals.

-november 15. my maiden voyage at the bluebird. yup, it’s time to pop my bluebird cherry and what better way to do it than with my buddy bill lloyd and my friends the animators (from new york)? i’m playing the early in the round style show at 6 pm. this guarantees to be entertaining as i’m not normally one to describe my music. like springsteen once said, it’s like sex: can you describe it? should you? who knows what i’m gonna wind up saying? not to mention, i’ve got a couple of new songs up my sleeve and both the acts i’m playing with are great. did i mention it’s free?
